Fifteen-year-old Heidi Schreck earned her college tuition by winning constitutional debate competitions across the United States. Now, the Obie Award winner recalls her teenage self to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women in her own family and the founding document that dictated their rights and citizenship.

An elephant named Gerald and a pig named Piggie are best friends, but Gerald worries that something could go wrong that would end their friendship. Piggie is not worried at all. She’s even happier and more excited than usual. That’s because she and Gerald are invited to a party hosted by the Squirrelles, three singing squirrels who love to have a good time. This is a story of a teacher, an architect, and the architect’s daughter.  It is a story about the persistence of care and hope despite the overwhelming strains being placed on the American educational system.
